People who have towed both say it is usually much more difficult to tow the travel trailer, especially in windy conditions, because the travel trailer will sway from side-to-side. However fifth wheels will have very little sway making them much easier to tow therefore improving the fuel mileage and making the overall trip more pleasant.

Purchasing a used fifth wheel will usually mean that you get many more features for your price range. However make sure that you are purchasing a quality brand fifth wheel. Many late model fifth wheels have been well cared for and will be ideal for your RV use and will
not cost you anywhere as much as a new fifth wheel.
