Man Bags, Bags for Men?
Why do some people show such horror at the thought of a Man carrying a bag? It’s a question
that’s been haunting me for a number of years, ever since I got my first Man Bag many years ago!
Why would a man need a Bag is the question, and for me it’s about being prepared and having all my gadgets close at hand! Lets look at my typical contents of my Bag when I’m out having fun…
- Phone/Sat Nav
- Umbrella
- Wallet
- Medicines (I suffer from IBS)
- Moleskin Notebook and Pen
- Tissues
- Guide book (If in a city or area I’m visiting)
- Gum
- iPod + Headphones
A fair amount of kit that without a Bag I’d not be able to take with me. I may not need all of it every time (Some days in the UK pass without rain….) but It’s so much easier having this stuff to hand for me.
Next we come to style, a Bag has to look good. Yes first of all it’s practical to use one but if it looks good it doubles it’s value. There are so many styles and sizes to choose from, and unlike women’s bags it’s not necessary to have a different bag for each outfit! (This is not a hard rule for some though!!)
